PETER & SOPHIA KOURMOLIS SCHOLARSHIP

"Give a chance to today's students to become tomorrow's leaders"

 

Two (2) scholarships will be awarded annually to two college students (graduate or undergraduate college students). To be considered, applicants or their parents must be Orthodox Christians and must submit their application and official transcripts of their academic work by April 30th. The selection of the qualifying scholarship award winners is the responsibility of the Scholarship Committee. You may only be awarded this scholarship once.

The Scholarship Committee's evaluation of all applications will be based on:

1. Course work during the semester prior to the Application.
2. Complexity of courses taken. 
3. Grade point average, for the course work completed and overall.
4. Time spent outside the classroom, working to pay for own expenses.
5. Membership and time spent in school -related organizations.
6. Volunteer work in school or church activities.
7. Commitment to & participation in Church organizations.
8. Proof of financial need (if appropriate).

This form cannot be saved. Required application documents must be filled out and uploaded below or sent to scholarships@htgoc.net no later than April 30th. You may also download application and email it directly.

The Following to be submitted to scholarships@htgoc.net by the school or persons making recommendations:

1. Official transcripts of your academic work from college/university Spring semester. (High school transcripts ONLY if you are a first year college student).
2. A letter of recommendation from your parish priest.
3. A letter of character reference from a competent authority.
